Contributions To Canadian Mineralogy
"Contributions To Canadian Mineralogy" provides items judged to be useful to the readership of The Canadian Mineralogist, but too voluminous, or of too local an interest, for an international journal. For example, reports on new assemblages of minerals at well-known localities could be published electronically under this heading, as could basic information on mineral localities in Canada.
The first Contribution to Canadian Mineralogy is a listing of mineral species encountered in Canada, and our intention in placing it on the web site, rather than in the journal, is that it can easily be updated. The title chosen recalls the predecessor of The Canadian Mineralogist, called Contributions to Canadian Mineralogy, University of Toronto Studies, founded in 1921 by Thomas Leonard Walker.
